TRAININGS & PRACTICE
My daily life includes the operation of a grain and cattle farm with my husband and adult twin sons and daughter. The work never stops, but our house is always full of people and laughter, working together is the only way to get things done. Our farm is the heart of our family, land passed down over 4 generations. The farm is more than land, it creates as sense of identity and pride and brings us connection to our family & community. Farm Life = harvest, brandings, moving cows, seeding, irrigating, haying, horses, dogs, ATV's, snowmobiles, hunting, trucks and pulling porcupine quills out of animals noses.
I have lots of time to spend doing my favorite activities of feeding and grooming my two mini horses, hiking in Grasslands National Park, exploring pastures for fossils and cool rocks and generally poking around in nature, all of which helps with my own mental well-being. This year, as a volunteer for a friend's University Master's project, I took part in tracking, trapping and attaching transmitters to Great Horned Owls, my favorite animal. My remote and rural location allows me endless opportunities to enjoy nature every day!
How lucky am I to get to care for and love 4 dogs, 4 cats & 3 horses. Pet Therapy is backed by evidence based research and the joy, sense of purpose and laughter my pets bring me is irreplaceable.
